Get reviews on your Facebook Business Page

Looking for more ways to collect reviews? With Facebook being the world’s largest social platform, why not collect reviews on your Business Page?

Here’s how to start!

  1. Make sure your reviews are set up on your business page. Go to your page settings, then click on Templates & Tabs, make sure your reviews is enabled. You can also drag these “Tabs” into positions, we would recommend moving the Reviews Tab closer to the top if you will be using this feature!

2. Grab your “Reviews” Link! It will be fb.com/pagename/reviews but you can click on the Reviews tab and look at the url to view this as well.

3. Save that URL and add to the email that you send out when searching for Reviews! Here is an example, click here.

Happy Reviewing!! Feel free to review us on Facebook! Click Here

What should I be posting to Social?

So often I get asked the question “What should I be posting to social”, or what is a good third party company to auto post to my social for me, I don’t have time.

In my honest opinion, you will get out of social what you put into it. Building an audience and engagement on a facebook business page is really hard if you are just starting out. Facebook now wants you to pay to play. I look at social as one of the pillars to your business (you should have 7-10 pillars you are consistently working on). The more authentic you are about yourself as well as giving value for your community, the more engagement you will receive. I feel the objective for any social is actually being “SOCIAL”.

“Social media won’t replace a handshake, BUT social DONE WELL will change the first meeting from a handshake to a hug.”

Here are some ideas / resources on what to post.

Check out Katie Lances videos & download her content calendar. If you don’t know who Katie is, get to know her. She provides a TON of great ideas and a load of videos to help the real estate professional! Sign up for her Social Smart Academy, I promise you will not regret it! https://katielance.com/

I love promo.com for their content calendar! I have a video plan myself but they offer many videos for different holidays you can download and use!

Look into agentcrate.com – they have a TON of resources for your social media! From graphics, videos, templates and their own template machine for you to customize anything! It is relatively inexpensive for everything you get (if you use it)!

If you are looking for a marketing platform for designing graphics, we LOVE Canva! Canva has a free version BUT their Pro plan is well worth the $19/mo with all the templates as well as FREE Stock Graphics you can use for your marketing!

Make sure to join this group on facebook – Canva for Real Estate Agents

This is a very active group with a ton of tutorials but even better, agents share their design templates making it easier than ever to find new marketing ideas! Make sure to go thru the learning units in the group as well!

Overall, there is no one size fits all when it comes to social! I believe if you are Passionate, Positive and Authentic you will gain the Know, Like & Trust to grow you business! Make connections and create and maintain relationships and watch the magic happen!!

RE/MAX Brokers – Take photofy to the next level!

The new relationship with RE/MAX + Photofy has been amazing! If you have NOT checked this out yet, you need to! They are adding fresh content, templates, social posts and so much more daily!!

The latest add on is the Social Items of Value (Broker account – Recruiting section, then click on repost, then Social Items of value). In this section you will find all sorts of pre-written material that is quick and easy to post to your social channels with a couple clicks… of course in true Heather style.. I like to take this up a notch with these following steps…

From Photofy – I find and article and click on graphic, save to my device. Then proceed to post to instagram getting as far as the content copying to my clipboard… it will open my instagram but I don’t actually post I back out.

I then open my email, and paste the content into my email and attach the graphic and email the content to myself (you’ll see why in the next couple of steps, I promise).

With the content… I create small instagram size square graphics with the tips provided… these will be perfect for posting for instagram album (swiping for more content). I also create an Instagram / Facebook Story using the content as well as a Blog Cover Graphic, all graphics match to stay consistent. (I typically use a background from the blank recruiting slides from in MaxCntr) this way all graphics are consistent with the brand.

I enhance the message with some fun emojo’s versus just text (I use emojicopy.com from if I am on my desktop).

Customize the remax url shortner to your blog article!

Example Post Text:

Here is an example of the graphics:

These are generic but of course you will want to add your company logo and contact info on yours 😉

Instagram Sliders:

Bonus Tip: You can also create a fun video slideshow using Ripl, Quik or other apps with these graphics!

Blog Graphic… Add a Blog to your recruiting website with the FULL article, Pin to Pinterest, you can also post this to your social at a later time. Having this on your recruiting site will give value to anyone landing there. View example here.

Instagram & Facebook Story… Post and highlight!

Feel free to use these graphics and try these techniques out for yourself!

Of course we are already doing this for our RE/MAX Broker Elite+ accounts. If this sounds like a service you would be interested in, check out our Broker services here!

Make Real Life Connections

Technology has brought sweeping changes to the way in which we connect with other people. Although telephones like those used in the past, now mostly referred as land lines, are still being used, social media is fast becoming the primary means with which we reach out and get to know others.

Social media takes many forms for personal and professional use. Sometimes these media overlap, but there are plenty of options for fun purposes as well as building a professional marketing platform. Social media marketing began with email and business websites and has exploded into the cyber realms with the addition of Facebook, Twitter, Skype, Instagram, and numerous other programs.

Keeping in touch with vendors, customers, and the public in general gives a company a distinct marketing edge. A business can maintain visibility through timely tweets on relevant topics, posts to manufacturers’ and distributors’ websites, reviews on pertinent products or innovations, and comments in discussion forums, for example.

Building a public relations platform can use any or all of these types of social media. For example, every company or entrepreneur should have a website to establish a marketing presence and product niche. Mass communications media can be utilized to distribute newsletters, press releases, product updates, upcoming special events, and comments to industry news. Utilizing a variety of social networks helps to reach a broad audience of those who may be interested in a company’s product or services. While tweets are brief and focused, a product review can be more detailed and opinionated. Consumers of specific demographics can be targeted for updates and news.

Skype online marketing is great for video conferencing and sales presentations. Customer service tips can be tweeted or posted to a LinkedIn account. With so many options available, social media is the best marketing medium to use.

Social Media and The First Time Home Buyer

Social Media and The First Time Home Buyer

In the never-ending quest to crack the code of selling to the first time home buyer, a real estate agent needs to seriously embrace the wonders of not only social media in general, but also the entire concept of what makes up social media marketing.

By using this invaluable weapon, the agent can dramatically expand his potential client base by being able to show either video or simple photographs of properties under his or her purview. That alone will eliminate the possibility of being rejected because of a person’s time constraints that prevent them from taking a look at the property.

In addition to the use of video and photos, the agent has the opportunity to establish a dialogue with this demographic that allows him to delve deeper into their needs, wants and interests.

Within this select market are primarily young people who are not only very familiar with all the nuances of modern technology, but have formed a close attachment to it. Much of it they’ve grown up with, and so they’re comfortable with it. That comfort can be put to good advantage when it comes to selling real estate to someone who has never dipped their toe in such waters before.

By developing that tech savvy approach to selling in the market, the agent can in many cases serve as a clearinghouse of information for buyers. For example, for those buyers who plan on staying a while and have young children ready to begin school, you can offer links to the local schools their children might attend.

Using modern technology such as this will allow the agent to no longer be tied to a desk or stuck in an empty home trying to sell to disinterested people simply shopping around.
